The year is 2023. You need a PSA birth certificate. “How to get one?”, you ask. There are two easy ways that you can do to get your or your family’s PSA-copy birth certificates. Read on.
1. Visit a Census Serbilis Center
Visit a Census Serbilis Center, bring some identification requirements, an authorization letter and identification of the owner (if you are requesting copies of your family’s birth certificate), prepare funds for payment of each copy (if you need more than one), and wait until a date of issuance is provided to you. The documents will be released to Census Serbilis Centers and can be claimed on the date advised to you.
2. Request copies of PSA birth certificates online
There are two online services where you can request a copy of your birth certificate: 1) through the Philippine Statistics Authority’s (PSA) PSA Serbilis facility or 2) through Pilipinas Teleserv’s PSAHelpline.ph facility.
Both the PSA Serbilis and PSAHelpline.ph facilities will collect the personal data required to verify and match the information with the birth records. The copies of the documents will have a corresponding fee per copy (on top of the shipping/delivery fee) and will be delivered around 3 to 5 days upon PSA acknowledging receipt of the request.
PSA Serbilis charges Php330 per copy of the birth certificate. PSAHelpline.ph charges Php365 per copy.
Be careful entering personal details. Make sure they are accurate so that the PSA can retrieve and deliver to you the correct record.
